COMPANYFounded in 1999, based in San Diego, California, AVIVA has leveraged biochip micro technologies invented by leading academic laboratories and has developed applications to serve unmet needs of the healthcare and life science industries. AVIVA has pioneered cell-based platforms, which have found a variety of applications, from drug screening to blood sample preparation for flow cytometry. After launching the SealChip™ in 2003, the Company established its drug screening service in 2004 based on the same technology. Since then, we have strived to continually increase our offerings according to a customer-driven strategy. The partnerships between AVIVA’s R&D department and several pharmaceutical companies lead to the 2007 introduction of novel cardiovascular models including human tissue-based assays. In 2010 AVIVA introduced the second generation Sealchip 16g as well as the AVIchip for flow cytometry applications. |
